Deerhorn Ranch Acres Community Organization (DRACO) is a member-based nonprofit public benefit organization formed under Oregon law (ORS Chapter 65).

The area’s origins trace back to the original Deerhorn Ranch, which was later sold and subdivided into what became known as Deerhorn Ranch Acres. In 1979, local residents expressed a desire to organize in order to support and improve the neighborhood. Early interests included forming a Neighborhood Watch, coordinating a neighborhood-wide annual garage sale, and welcoming new residents. In 1997, Articles of Incorporation were filed with the State of Oregon, formally establishing the Deerhorn Ranch Acres Community Organization (DRACO).

DRACO continues this tradition by welcoming new residents and helping them become active members of the community. Our mission is to foster neighborhood engagement through events such as the annual holiday party, summer picnic, community garage sale, and other activities approved by the Membership. We support community safety through the DRACO Neighborhood Watch. As a service to our members, we maintain an annually updated Membership Directory containing participating members’ names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. The updated directory is distributed at the DRACO Annual Meeting each January or made available on the DRACO Facebook page.
